I had the opportunity to spend some time at the Astros Spring Training camp in Kissimmee while on vacation in March, 2010. I would go to the games early and also attend the off-day workouts. That is when many hard-core fans and memorabilia collectors hare present. To a person, all of them complimented the way JR Towles handled himself on and off the field. In the short time I was there, I never once saw him turn away an autograph seeker and he took time to pose with fans in pictures. JR certainly presented a solid testimony of his Christian faith. Even if he never makes it as a major leaguer, he has proven himself a winner in my eyes.

It's always so encouraging to see Christian athletes set an example for all to see. Great interview, thanks for the post!
