MEN OF GOD SPOTLIGHT :: REUBEN MORGAN
I talked to Reuben Morgan, one of the leaders of the Hillsong worship team, to get his perspective of the music from Hillsong as well as his advice for Christian men everywhere.

As Christians, worship is to be the centerpiece of our lives. It is what we do, it’s the life we live, and ultimately, it’s who we are. As we give our lives over to God and grow in our faith, we begin to realize and understand our purpose for being here is to worship God in all areas of our lives and we strive to do that on a daily basis.
For years, Hillsong Church in Australia has led people to the throne of God through its’ music, teaching, outreach, and service to the Lord. The music has been one of the most recognizable areas of worship, as the worship team has traveled the world taking the love of Christ with them and the worship songs that God has led them to write are played in thousands of churches all over the world every Sunday.

The sensitivity the music Reuben has been blessed to receive and transmit is so infectious, mostly because it’s from the depths of an aching human soul… and who hasn’t been there? Reuben has either learned or been inately blessed to reach from those depths and articulate the thoughts and feelings we all have experienced into words that we can just sit and acknowledge to know as true. Each of us has felt things we don’t know how to intelligibly articulate; Reuben seems to have the gift to turn those “utterings unspeakable” into words.
God only knows the countless lives Reuben’s lyrics have touched – not only in a Spiritual way, but a relateable way as well. Should you not have had the privilege to hear his music, I would strongly encourage you to invest the small amount of money and time to listen to any of his CD’s. I know that sounds like a “plug” for him, but I wouldn’t say it if I didn’t KNOW you’d be tangibly blessed! I especially have an afinity for Eagles Wings.
